A new release of @GTK 3 just happened. It contains several fixes for issues we reported (or even contributed patch for), including fixing bad crashes on Wayland (in both @kde and @gnome) and an annoying bug when using Right-to-Left languages.

Pretty happy of it! 🥳

Dear packagers: please package GTK 3.24.48 when you'll package our RC3. This dramatically improves stability and usability of GIMP!

After careful consideration, @zemarmot decided to publish a third release candidate for #GIMP 3.0.0, because some of the fixes we made changed some core logic. So we'll want a bit more testing.

~14 more reports to close (of course, this number fluctuates up and down as we progress, but our rhythm is good so far!). 🧑💻

We finally released the macOS packages of GIMP 3.0.0 RC2 (both for Intel and Apple Silicon hardware): https://www.gimp.org/downloads/devel/ 🥳

GIMP 2.10.34 is now out with a very nice team effort! It features various improvements, such as better support of several file formats.

Also it is the first of a new release procedure with the goal to improve the quality of each release! ?

#GIMP now supports importing and exporting clipping paths for PSD files! Thanks to Nikc for the implementation and Jacob Boerema for their patient review and feedback.

@gnome is discontinuing its mailing list infrastructure soon, which means that we are as well.
