As Bulgaria is joining the Eurozone tonight, the following changes have been applied in Liberapay.

- The Bulgarian lev (BGN) has disappeared from donation forms.
- All existing donations and scheduled payments in that currency have been converted to the Euro.
- All accounts which had the lev as their main currency have been switched to the Euro.

📈 In 2024 Liberapay processed donations worth a total of 1 million US dollars for 1535 recipients in 56 countries.

@tixie If you connect a Stripe account from a SEPA country, and you *don't* connect a personal PayPal account, then you can receive donations through Liberapay without leaking your legal name.

Stripe accounts outside the SEPA shouldn't leak information either, but we can't guarantee it.

For PayPal you need a business account to protect your personal information.

Thanks to machine translations, Liberapay is now fully available in 34 languages.

Of course, machine translations are not always perfect, so they have to be reviewed. The following languages currently don't have enough reviewers: #Latvian, #Slovenian, #Irish, #Vietnamese, #Estonian, #Frisian, #Arabic, #Lithuanian, #Hungarian, #Romanian, #Korean, #Japanese, and #Norwegian.
