I don't know anything about this author anything, but just put the novel on my Kindle. Looks to be, at a minimum, inspired by "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood.

Assuming so, it only highlights Atwood's failure to acknowledge Horse Shoe Theory. Very disappointing.

I've only skimmed a few pages by Michel Houellebecq but, particularly for a translated book, seems engaging.
