I almost never watched local news, I probably watch the local morning news once every six weeks or so and then only part of it but it’s wild to see the difference between Bay Area local news and LA local news.

Bay Area is just local news, traffic, weather, sports. LA has a chyron running along the bottom with news headlines weather etc. and then they’ve talked about the SAG awards for 20 minutes and ate a new McDonald’s breakfast sandwich.

I love this old dilapidated building that used to house a Cantina in Salinas. I take a picture of it every trip.

The artwork to the right of the “Mi Cantina“ sign says “love will set us free“. I wish I was around when this was open to have a drink there.

I don’t think I noticed the old Chop Suey sign to the left before today. It may be on the building to the left but I really hope this was a combined Cantina and Chinese restaurant.

Lots of people with bikes getting on the train, looking like they’re going bike camping, which I love. Also everything is starting to bloom and turn green, it should be a pretty ride.

They’ve updated the seating and refinished the floors in the Oakland/Jack London Square station, it’s nice.

I hope he enjoyed all the free money the City threw at him to open his shitty restaurants, when they could have spent it on things we actually needed. I’ll bet we could’ve paid the crossing guards they’re planning to fire with the money we tossed at him.

My daughter handed off both of our ballots yesterday morning at our local polling place and as of now neither has been marked as received; I'm mostly ok with the local results right now, so I hope they don't change much as SF lethargically updates counts.
