@DanFox I guess I should read the article about Iowa’s polling right now. Democrats taking Alaska, New Mexico, Texas, and Georgia… that would be great, but should we really hold our breath? I did it in 2016 and we know how that went.

@DanFox That would mean nearly 80% of the EC, and probably an historic landslide win for any party in US history. Given the norm is about a 5% deviation either side of an even split between the two parties, is 420 Electoral College votes actually achievable, never mind likely?

Don’t get me wrong, I LIKE THIS, but I have had my hopes dashed many times before when watching US politics, so I am cautious in my optimism.

#Today, everything fills me with frustration.

Even though I had no alarm, so I slept to 11:30, had breakfast, went back to bed for 90min, got up, made coffee (that pissed me off as well: the filter kept creating a vacuum seal I thought I had prevented happening), then the scanning software •and• iTunes started fucking with me.

AND, as if that wasn’t enough, the content advisory for this toot made me hack a bunch of stuff out of it but I left an error in it anyway, then it took about five hours to finally get successfully tooted.

Both bits of software ended up complying with my orders.

So did Mastodon (via @ivory). Now I’m watching stuff on Disney.
