@atomicpoet Yes and when I was a kid in the mid 80s they thought only boys could be autistic. You rarely ever heard about an autistic girl back then.

@atomicpoet Part of my journey of discovery was when my best friend's daughter was diagnosed and I was a little shocked because her and I are so similar which to me doing tons of research and getting my own diagnosis. :bhjflag_autism:

@atomicpoet Same, Chris, people are surprised when I tell them I am autistic. They are not used to someone without the subtext who is so direct. I say what I mean and I think people are not used to such sparkling honesty. Lol.
Also I say weird stuff that is funny to me which often gets misunderstood. Hehe. All the time.
