Fedora 43, originally scheduled for release next week has been delayed due to bugs.

Wait, an OS can be delayed because of bugs, it doesn't have to be shoved down people's throats even when it's obviously not fit for consumption? Has anyone told Apple that? Game changing!

Frack. My day job manager has been pushing us to all use #AI for our code. Every time I use it, it creates garbage that's wrong.

Now they want us to start logging when/how often we use it, so we can show higher ups our metrics to show how great it is.

Guess I'll use AI to generate the metrics, the more incorrect, the better I suppose. Finally something AI will be good for!

There should be a law that device manufacturers must release docs/procedures to root* their devices sometime after they’re sold (~5 years I’d say).

*by root, I mean a way to wipe the device so another OS can be installed. Primarily this is for phones, watches etc, but may as welll make it apply to all devices, cars etc too.

If anyone is building a Silo (or similar) for humans to survive the upcoming apocalypse, please invite me in. I'd be a good contributor. I can do mental work: code, write, design etc, and also physical work: electrical, plumbing, construction, woodworking etc.

@goatsarah @arroz I too was thinking that the air tank was poisonous. Even thinking perhaps her Dad knew and gave her an antidote in the cake. But now I'm questioning if it is outside air, and she lived because she had the better tape on the seals of her suit.

I'm also wondering if Bernard was surprised about the metal door's existence, or just surprised that Jules knew about it.

#Apple has lost their touch with software, but they sure can pick good shows to make (or buy?).

One of the Apple Genius’ called me this morning. They apparently need me to turn off Find My Mac in order for them to be able to “save the repair and order replacement parts”.

Why would I need to turn off Find My Mac for them to be able to save their repair and/or order replacement parts? They said I just need to turn it off for 10 minutes then could turn it back on.

Does that make sense to anyone? What am I missing?
