Back from another weekend in the Alps.
This time in the Lechtal area, staying on Hanauer and Muttekopf Hut.
The weather was better than expected, lots of interesting paths, two short via ferrata, excellent food and fun people.

@jwildeboer the issue is, it's not 2010 anymore, people aren't used to have this level of alternative clients for a service and at least the playstore is very strongly promoting "the one" app over alternative clients.
So you end up with an obvious choice with non obvious alternatives, combined with the fact, that, at least on Android the official app obviously isn't the best app out there.

@jwildeboer if we want to be serious about this federation thing, having those dominating defaults is automatically bad for the balance of the ecosystem

@jwildeboer that's not what I want to make of it and I am not as passionate about this as it might seem, but I think making the choices obvious to people instead of hiding them, would be good for the feediverse in the long run
