    @Eiswald the power companies are privately owned and poorly maintained, from what I hear. Texas usually doesn't have snow, so it's not engineered for it.

    I was looking at RVs a while ago, and the ones made ro withstand harsh weather and sub-freezing temperatures cost quite a bit more and had special fittings to keep the water parts from freezing and a whole bunch of extra insulation around the engine and passenger cabin.

    So I'm thinking, maybe electrical grids are rated for weather too. Maybe the cold weather grids are sturdier but more expensive, and the warm weather ones are made of cheaper materials that can't withstand the sub-freezung temperatures.

    Or maybe the whole grid in Texas is full of old, cracked wires that haven't been maintained in decades. Let's not forget that Pacific Gas and Electric, a California Corporation, that burned down Paradise in 2018:

    So Texas may be brewing up a similar situation, but in more than one spot. Maybe their grid is so old and creaky, it's gonna break put and burn down some of their towns some day. Personally if I were in Texas, I would rely on gasoline powered generators, propane, and firewood as much as possible. Won't prevent a firestorm from burning down your house, of course, but you'll be warm, have light, and the use of various electrical appliances on a limited basis.

    @Humpleupagus @NotAWeeb @PeachySummer I'd like to expand on the idea of it, but it sounds a lot like psycho-pass imho. I'd have to work pretty hard to not make it sound like a psycho-pass fanfic, and that immediate concern would make my writing stiff.

    In the dream it was the AI that controlled the city. When we escaped there was robots chasing us and shit, but they couldn't get past the fence. Then there was farmland, then the convenience store with our sex tape. I didn't get a good grasp of the rules of Outside, other than they were allowed to buy sex tapes there, and you couldn't in the city. The dream was super-detailed in some ways, and super-vague in others

    @Humpleupagus @NotAWeeb @PeachySummer I wish I could. I wanted to watch it really bad because in the dream we were trapped in there for years, nothing to do but fuck, eat, sleep, and work out. Nobody was allowed Outside, and if you went Outside you could never come back.

    But i got too excited about the tape and I woke up. And there was more than one tape, some of the others had my wife on the cover, and some had just almost unidentifiable body parts. The series had a name that was on all the tape covers and for the life of me, I can't remember it.

    @Humpleupagus @PeachySummer @NotAWeeb I had a dream last night that my wife and I were young and hot again and our house was full of high definition cameras. It was like the Truman Show and we were imprisoned there. The security guards were taping us having sex, doing some editing, and selling the sex tapes on the Outside. Finally my wife and I escaped the house, escaped the city, and made it to the Outside. We came up to a convenience store and our sex tape was on sale there and there was a screen grab of my O-face on the cover. But then I fucked up and started scrutinizing the packaging too much and I overloaded the RAM in my brain so I woke up. I liked that dream.

    @11112011 i believe Trump because if they had any type of evidence, even a scrap, they'd have indicted Trump by now. So much more valuable to dangle the idea and make innuendos than to have the flight plans laid bare, showing that Trump told the truth all along.

    I'm sure there are other Republicans on the list. Ted Cruz wouldn't be much of a surprise for instance, but I think Cruz might have been too low-class/low-power for Epstein. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Lindsay Graham was on there. He always struck me as a pederast (ALLEGEDLY)

    @11112011 I don't. Trump completely dropped Epstein once he found out about him, before Epstein's first arrest, and the flight logs show it. Nor has he been seen within a hundred miles of any of Epstein's known victims, with the exception of Virginia Giuffre, who worked at Mar A Lago. Whereas, we have a photo of one of Epstein's victims kneading Slick Willie's greasy shoulders, although the girl was allegedly 22 at the time of said photo.

    Trump and Epstein were members of the same elite club; the rich guys of New York. It's no surprise that they'd met, been friends, exchanged tit-for-tat favors, until Epstein disgraced himself. That's how New York works

    @11112011 you can drop all the innuendo you want, but if there was one scrap of evidence that Trump did anything other than accept a flight from one place to another within the continental US, he'd be the only one from Epstein's famous black book being prosecuted for child abuse and rape right now. The fact that he's not been indicted on that particular charge speaks volumes. It's all to Trump's good that the flight logs are out now, because the innuendo fall flat now.
