@trochee @rysiek This is one of those things that I can see both ways. On the one hand, a lot of those highlighted and quoted (like Pompliano) are parasites struggling at relevance. On the other… the perks at some of these companies seem to me crazy, and I have met plenty of entitled Big Tech employees.

The whole thing strikes me as continual oversteering. First, crazy perks and competing for how plush you can make a gig, then overcompensating in the opposite direction.
