I get it, you want this to end in signing a petition, and voting some bums out. You REALLY want to believe that I'm wrong, and we can civilly explain to these ppl that they're destroying the world we live in articulately enough that they'll see the error in their ways and you can go back to your life peacefully. But that ain't how this story ends, and we're past the point where that should be obvious to you.

Yeah, those who actually voted for Trumpster deserve the full credit for this upcoming disaster.

But, those who actively stood around and did nothing or even boosted the right-wing takeover of the Democratic Party, even to the point of actively abusing and retaliating against Indy Leftists exercising their Goddess-given right to leave where they aren't wanted? Yeah, you deserve some smoke as well.

And, no, loyalist Democrats and all liberal/"progressive" loyalist screeds; do NOT hit me with how it's my fault and those of us on the Indy Left who saw this coming a long time ago and bailed out, and gave you ample warning about what was going down.

By your cowardice in not defending even your core values and policies, allowing the corporacrats and ConservaDems to steamroll you, and still running to their beck and call for the quick cash.

Notice how quickly Trumpster is acting to put his people in place and aggressively enacting his Hard Right agenda. Also, how he is rewarding those most loyal to him and to the Hard Right.

Now, compare that to how Democrats have treated the Left when they take power.

Now, do you understand why the Right has been so successful that even their "opposition" is adapting their policies?

The incoming #CDC director will need #Senate confirmation. If Dr. #DaveWeldon is successful, he will sit at the helm of an agency w/a budget of >$15B, which has historically been used to track & respond to #InfectiousDisease outbreaks.

But #Trump’s choice to lead its parent agency, the Department of Health & Human Services, is #RFKJr, who has been outspoken about his plans to deprioritize communicable #disease #research.

If RFKJr, is confirmed, the mission & focus of the CDC’s work may change.

As a member of Congress, Dr. #DaveWeldon pushed the #ConspiracyTheory that thimerosal, a preservative compound in some #vaccines, had caused an explosion of autism. This theory is false, experts believe.

He was also the author of the Weldon Amendment, which barred the Department of #Health & Human Services from funding federal or state programs that “discriminated” against #HealthInsurance plans or providers who refused to pay for or provide #abortions.

The choice of #RussVought would bring in a strongly ideological figure who played a pivotal role in #Trump’s first term, when he also served as budget chief. Among other things, Vought helped come up w/the idea of having Trump use emergency power to circumvent #Congress’s decision about how much to spend on a #border wall.

Vought was a leading figure in #Project2025, the effort by *#conservative* organizations to build a governing blueprint for Trump.

If the US's plan is to strongarm its allies into imploding the ICC, they're going to have a lotta allies to contend with.

I presumed the countries choosing to officially ignore an ongoing genocide would pretend a unified reactionary front - but umm, apparently not? I do not know if it's within the US's POWER to compel this many states directly. Seems unlikely.
