I continually point this out when youngsters (and not so youngsters who should know better) gleefully anticipate the end of SS and Medicare deductions from their paychecks. Idiots.
Also, if they destroy it, I fucking want all the money back that I paid into it, AND the money my employers paid into it on my behalf.

This is 100% accurate. I know because I was *there*.
I'm actually surprised it was only 75%. In my neighborhood (middle class, white/blue collar, white, Midwest) it was more like 98% disapproved of MLK. I remember hearing things about how he was a "trouble maker", and I was just a kid.

Nope. The Republican Party no longer exists. It's now the MAGAt Party (or the-party-formerly-known-as-Republican).
They may keep calling themselves "republicans" but these are the same asswhipes who call themselves "christian" and "patriots" so, no. There is no longer a Republican Party.

And it assumes that the people running large corporations care at all if the company survives beyond their personal participation. Most executives today are interchangeable money grubbing pillagers who are solely interested in their personal bottom line. As long as they make their morbidly large bonuses, no worries about 5 years from now. And the people actually doing the work? Meh. Cannon fodder. It's grotesque. We lost when we allowed corporations to kill small business.
