@Sophistifunk think this thing was 20 bucks from aliexpress or somewhere. Does lithium 18650's at .5, 1, 2 and 3 amps. Gives you an Ah readout when its done so you know the remaining capacity. Bet they make one for your old ass tech ;P

@Sophistifunk I work with lithium's. Don't know shit about NiMH. Would be the same thing though. Just not sure about the internal resistance, but it would have to follow ohms law.

@Sophistifunk you can check internal resistance, but you don't have access to an expensive meter. You're best off getting a battery discharge tester, depends how much you want to spend to know the condition of your batteries. Many electronic loads will count amp hours, you could discharge it to a set voltage (say 3v per cell) and see how much of the original rating the pack has left.
