thadius@Sophistifunk you can check internal resistance, but you don't have access to an expensive meter. You're best off getting a battery discharge tester, depends how much you want to spend to know the condition of your batteries. Many electronic loads will count amp hours, you could discharge it to a set voltage (say 3v per cell) and see how much of the original rating the pack has left.
