New stuff to read

I converted the Sailor Moon transformation sequence to a 4 FPS animation using 8 terminal colors. I think this ending frame looks pretty cool.

I want to make a series of terminal-based games and applications, but also I don't have a lot of mental bandwidth right now to do so. ^_^;

@FlashMobOfOne Yeah, used cars were basically the same price as new cars, so I was hoping if I bought something new it'd last me longer. I drove my last car (used in 2014, but it was a 2014 model) up until last year when it started dying.

Car prices are bonkers so my current car is actually my first NEW car. I'm at 11,000 miles and this week it has had the following technical issues:

1. Won't start the car; "Key system error see owner's manual". (Gee I sure missed when we actually got descriptive error messages in software.)

2. Passenger side camera is gray... Maybe the camera is dirty or it died.

3. Neither USB port was working for Android Auto with my phone.

Some of these resolved, but I'm distrustful of technology.

Oh no, someone on YouTube said that Mormons look alike and she has a "Mormon face". My biological dad and that side is all Mormon. Do I look Mormon? 😖

All my sibs on the dad side are like gingers/blonde and I'm brown haired so I think the genes got diluted a bit. x)

though considering my mom is a natural blonde it's kind of weird that I am different from both my parents in this way.

There is a Swig opening up right down the street from me. They must have detected latent Mormon blood in the area.

@FlashMobOfOne Yes!! Like an "L" shaped house would be nice, then have certain things shared.

Sure would be nice if housing were structured in a way where two families (e.g., me+husband, cousin+husband) could live together and have enough space, but also share the life work.

One of my pet peeves is when *someone else* tells me a date/time for some thing and I am punctual and then they are *very late*.

Or for example, the fertility clinic told us that they'd be moving in July and would have transfer dates for us in August.

Called August 15th, not ready yet, "we'll call you."

Called just now, "almost ready, we'll call you this week."

I would be less annoyed if they hadn't said they'd know dates in August, and I know stuff happens, but estimate better????

I'm so mad that I had been planning to do IVF and be pregnant this autumn, but instead I'm losing my mom.

Rai: I saw a chipmunk near the garage earlier.

Me: oh, Garage Gary.

Rai: it was in the front yard.

Me: oh, Front Yard Frank.

I've also been bringing granola bars and capri sun to my classes as a way to make sure my students are fed. (We can only give prepackaged things.)
