There used to be a time when for like 10 years, most of the models made sense. X230 was Premium material lightweight 12 inch machine with 3rd gen Core-i, T480 was regular well built 14'' workhorse with 8th gen Core-i cpus, T480s was same but thinner, lighter and less upgradable, or E570 was the cheap one with 15 inch screen and 7th gen cpu.
