So I would like to add a "Login with Mastodon" functionality to some of tools/sites and I am wrapping my head around the topic for some time now. I see it elsewhere, brid.gy for example does this, so it's possible. But for what I can see, I need Client IDs and secrets in order to provide such a Login, on every instance?! I mean, how… I guess I don't see the obvious, but… Can you give me a hint? I am stuck.

@pfefferle I exported my twitter data, merged it into my website and then it was okay for me to delete my account.

Bevor meine Reply angekommen ist, als noch gar kein Feedback da war, zeigte der Link einfach plaintext json an, wenn man bei dir auf der Seite drauf geklickt hat. Ich hab nicht drauf geachtet, was drin stand, sah nach activityPub Zeug aus.

@pfefferle und irgendwo zwischen den tanzenden Zeilen versteckt sich ein schüchterner JSON-String.

Wenn man sich die Details zu deinem Beitrag auf der Webseite ansehen will, zum Beispiel, beim Klicken auf "Kommentar hinterlasse" oder im Feed-Reader.

I am making progress with the IndieConnector plugin. Today I was working on the Mastodon part, which you now can fine tune and also use to post images. Still working on that release, but here's an update on that:

@matthiasott waaaaait a minute! I never thought of that...

@matthiasott I really like the idea. I have a desk shelf where my USB hub is hanging on, so plugging in stuff will be no problem. On the other hand, the mac mini is below that shelf and behind a midi keyboard, so not really visible... 🤔

@pfefferle oh ja, die sidebar war fast wichtiger als das eigentliche Blog. Ich hatte ein paar Monate lang wieder eine und habe die jetzt quasi in den Blog-Footer verschoben. Ich finde die Idee aber immer noch klasse und wichtig.
