@thomasfuchs Facebook does this already and it's really annoying, since I'm sure they're throwing some extra tracking in there (like which user shared it or something). The obfuscated link converts to the real link only after opening.

@rhsjjack Owncast is fundamentally different from standard streaming platforms. If I understand properly, each Owncast stream is its own server; therefore, moderation and regulation are up to the server owner and operator, if it's a shared system.

I believe Owncast can federate, therefore I imagine that those promoting harmful content could be ignored/defederated/blocked. That's the only "policing" that I can see happening, or using a "fediblock" system
