The minimum wage should mean the minimum livable wage.

One job should be enough for people to:
- buy groceries
- afford healthcare
- pay for housing
- save for the future

Discuss pay and benefits with your coworkers. Then organize for more.

Big corporations wouldn’t have their record profits without the labor of workers.

Record profits with no increase in pay are stolen wages.

Corporate interests insisted that CA fast food workers' $20/hr minimum wage would have all kinds of disastrous effects. None of it happened.

Instead:
- Workers’ pay went up 18%
- Prices went up just $0.15 for a typical $4 hamburger
- Workers didn’t lose their jobs

Is this not obvious?

In 1968, one federal minimum wage was enough to keep a family of three above the poverty line.

Now, one federal minimum wage falls over $5,000 BELOW the 2023 poverty line for a family of two.

Make the minimum wage living wage again.

In 1965, CEOs were paid 21 times as much as the typical worker.
In 2023, they were paid 290 times as much.

They’re hoarding the rewards of our hard work at the top and leaving less and less for ordinary people. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Dockworkers were just offered a 62% raise over 6 years. But they're not the only ones to win big with a union.

- Amtrak workers: 34% compounded raise over 7 years
- American Airlines flight attendants: immediate 20% raise
- Disneyland workers: 31% raise over 3 years

instead of billionaires we should have thriving communities.

Working full-time should automatically mean having enough to pay for
- a place to live
- food
- healthcare
- enjoying life
- saving for the future

Unless that pizza party also comes with a raise, you probably need a union.

Your ability to access healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ability to find and keep a job.

In August, the National Labor Relations Board ruled that Amazon is a joint employer to its drivers and has a legal duty to recognize and bargain with the drivers who unionized under the Teamsters.

Totally unrelated, Amazon just announced a pay bump for its drivers.

If they’re willing to give you a raise so you don’t unionize, imagine what you could win if you DO.

Reminder: They never stop organizing.

But neither will we.
