@rysiek I know we hate corporations and distrust SV, but the tl;dr here is:

"Internal folks at Cruise felt Cruise needed to do better to avoid hitting kids, and as a result Cruise made efforts to do better to avoid hitting kids. We are still concerned they aren't doing enough to avoid hitting kids, but no kids have been hit. Also, LOL, Cruise cars might fall in holes! We are pretty sure Cruise is still bad, because capitalism and marketing."

@chrysn I know. I burned out pretty badly during the Mailpile v1 dev cycle, in part due to pressure I put on myself by publishing roadmaps and making promises I failed to keep.

So I've been granting myself the luxury of just developing quietly and not publishing much this time around.

That will have to change at some point, the entire point of this is to write and publish code and docs and offer something useful to the community.

But I'm still not in any rush.

I wrote a long e-mail to #NLNet yesterday, answering questions they have about my #moggie / #mailpile v2 development plans.

How did I come up with X months? It's just how much time I have available! Do I have a roadmap? Not really, but it's in my head? Do I plan collaboration with other projects? Not just yet, I'm being introverted and stealthy still?

Not sure it's what they wanted to hear, but honesty is the only policy. I gave lots of details.

But maybe I *should* publish a better roadmap?
