Louis Dejoy is stepping down? Good riddance. But will the next guy be just as bad or worse?

this morning we got word that my father, 83, had had a possible stroke and was taken by ambulance to the local hospital. He was then transferred an hour away to the big city hospital and had treatment to clear the clot. We got to see him several hours later and he seems to be doing pretty well all things considered! He was doing very well on the post stroke tests and the team caring for him seems very competent. Send any spare good thoughts you have his way!

@Bridgemakes this is such a fun idea! Maybe you could do something inspired by the time so that you could make changes that so that it fits like you want it to

@Bridgemakes yeah, I definitely get the appeal of making you exact copy. Now I have to go look up fashions from 120 years ago to remind myself what they might look like!

another open enrollment, another year of losing almost $1000 off my annual salary due to increase in costs. Does this mean I would get a raise? Of course not. Does this mean I would get a COLA? Also no. I already made 10% less than when I started here 10 years ago. I really hate that I love my job but it's becoming untenable to stay in it moneywise.
