@CultureDesk 50 Serien, die angeblich die besten sind. 3 davon habe ich (in Teilen) gesehen. 30, 45, 50. Mad Men nach 5 Folgen abgebrochen - nicht weil es schlecht war, sondern weil es zu gut war. Dieser beiläufige Sexismus, es hat mich zu sehr aufgeregt.
We have one room sized in the bedroom because of allergies. (Xiaomi ) But was wondering about getting a reasonable solution for travelling to minimize covid/ Flu/ viral infections. Like this https://www.togofilter.com/en
@inthehands may I ask - the HePa for the kid's class room -- what size is that? Because I imagine if all kids bring a normal sized filter that would probably overkill. But if it is a cup size portable - what use are those? (Thinking about getting one for long train rides that are coming up, but can't find studies if they are useful for more than alleviating cigarette smoke in cars...
@inthehands@tshirtman@kellogh@jmeowmeow Kind of you, but I do know both words and the distinction, same difference in German (antroposophisch vs anthropologisch) - just a case of late night with a pinch of post Covid brain... Should have checked before I clicked "Toot"
@kellogh@inthehands@jmeowmeow I acknowledge that some Waldorf methods foster creativity but the anthropological (edit: it is "anthroposophical", of course. ) ideology is deeply troubling. Also, while a good student-teacher relationship is crucial for teaching, Waldorf teachers have way too much control over students, books and dessemination of knowledge.
@inthehands@dtauvdiodr well. Considering that FOUR of the seven artes liberales were considered mathematical , i.e. geometry, arithmetic, astronomy and, yes, music -- there is a lot of STEM included in the liberal arts. It just needn't be reduced to a vocational training or use cases.
I believe in liberal arts education. From the bottom of my heart. I also did a vocational (re-) training in software development (can't code sh*t though) because I cannot find a job.
