I've thought about this, and amplified others better able to speak about it than me the past few days which I think made my position clear but I now have a take.

Remember a while ago? When that harry potter game came out and a lot of trans people were like "please don't buy this game" and a bunch of people who claimed to be trans allies were like "I support trans people but not when it means I can't play a game" and "give me a thesis on how playing this supports transphobia"

Well, you, fellow trans people directing hate at Ro, are right now in the same position as the "allies" who found buying some game more convenient than supporting trans people.

You're attacking something trying to make the fedi safer to all marginalised people because it's inconvenient to you, becuase you don't want to lose connections with people you like who are racist, you'd keep those friendships rather than trying to make things better for everyone and demand a very high burden of truth that you would not accept for transphobia, not unlike all those who go "point to the part where jk is being transphobic".

@goatsarah and it's going south over Dartford, I've always flown trough the crossing going south over the bridge, if it was closed that would be another matter, but if it's not 🤷🏼♀️ going north though it is always the problem 😱

@goatsarah there was someone, I think it was Christine Burns? who mentioned a few years ago that in the early days of stonewall they were like "thanks for helping out but don't mention the trans stuff, we'll get around to that later" and then didn't

@essjay @goatsarah That's what I gather from hearing other peoples stories, that Nancy was the first CE to go "We need to openly advocated for trans rights as well" and yeah, that she was efficiently forced out over it isn't a good sign
