@skinnylatte we tried to have an accountant who was referred from a friend to do our taxes one year, and it was AWFUL. they were slow, missed a bunch of deductions (until I checked their work and got back to them), lots of back and forth. I am fussy enough that me doing it makes me more comfortable.

US Tax filer advice wanted:

I want to file online myself, but I want to move off of TurboTax, but we have a mortgage, many charitable contributions, occasional stock sales. I'm likely to pay for a pro to review or similar services.

Does anyone have experience using TaxAct or H&R Block to do their taxes online?

what's Delta chat? what do I need to know before using it?

#pdx #pdxFedi PDX Fediverse meetup is this sunday, Sept 14 from 1p -3p, on the north side of Laurelhurst park, near the stairs up to Ankeny.
I made a sign that sits on a camp chair! It says FEDI on both sides.
The forecast does currently call for rain, but the details predict just a little, early in the morning.
We will have name tags for those who want them.
Hope to meet so many of you!
