I managed to make it into the ceramics studio for an hour this afternoon to glaze a few pieces. This bowl is supposed to be black on the outside and purple on the inside, but the inside glaze is an experimental glaze formulated by one of the studio technicians, so we'll see how it comes out

A productive day in ceramics class. I finished throwing and trimming four bottles for an assignment, along with some assorted other bits and bobs

Update: The woman got back to me and told me the man is her project manager, and CCed him. He told me indeed did meet with the arborist today.

But, in a twist, he said he is not missing a yellow notebook. The mystery goes deeper.

Solving a real-life mystery that feels like something from a video game.

I found this notebook lying in the road, and inside are a bunch of construction-related notes. The final page of notes refer to an arborist.

I found a business card for the arborist tucked into the notebook, so I called the arborist and asked him if he met with someone about cutting roots. He said yes, he did -- this morning -- but he only knew the man's first name.

However, he remembered the full name of a woman who was in the meeting with them, so I sent her an email asking her if she knows a man by that name. I'm waiting to hear back.

I'm sure this guy would like these notes back, and I'm going to try to find him.

Update 2: They figured out which member of the crew the notebook belongs to and im going to meet up with them to return it on tuesday

Landlord just text me that they need access to my unit between noon and four today to deal with a leak.

There's no leak here, so I have no idea what they're talking about

Update: They said it's a leak in my kitchen. There is no leak in my kitchen. These landlords are so disorganized it's a wonder they manage to stay in business

They better figure this out pretty quickly. I had things I wanted to do this afternoon, and I don't want to sit around here from noon to four just to tell some plumber nothing is leaking here

Everyone is trying to solve this "problem" by explaining to me what might be going on, when the fact is, it's just my landlord being incompetent as usual
