Time for some VCR repair in a stupid but fun way

The problem with this VCR was that when I took the front cover off to remove a tangled up videotape, I accidentally broke two of these tall tactile buttons. I don't have any replacements in my stash of stuff and I'm not going to order a whole set of them just to get two, so I'm going to replace them something else.

I've taken the two bad ones out and soldered some JST connectors in their place

Since I have the VCR open, here's something for folks who haven't seen the insides of a VCR working

Some guy has been spamming me on my work email address with his posts about a variety of things. I asked him to please remove me from his mailing list earlier this week. He yelled at me a bunch in response, calling me corrupt and useless.

He spammed me again today, so I asked once again to be removed from his mailing list. I got this back. I think he might be warming up to my request.

People on this site are always posting things like, "if your full-flow stack includes RSLQ, and people are telling you that you can't port it through a V-SPAN editor, don't listen to them. I've been a stack-flow developer since 1996 and I'M TELLING YOU IT WORKS"

This is the second dream i've had lately where I woke up in the dream in a place where I wasn't expecting to be and wondering how to get back where I was supposed to be. Hmmmm

Dreamt I awoke and found myself walking through an unfamiliar neighborhood, dressed only in my pajamas, which were donned incorrectly, with no idea how I got there.

As I continued walking, I began to remember snippets. I had been staying with a friend and his wife in their house by the beach. I had awoken in their guest bed in the middle of the night, but then somehow I ended up outside and far from their home.

I heard the squealing wheels of a train passing by on the far side of the neighborhood and I knew which way I needed to go.
