Yes, this is shamelessly stolen from elsewhere, but I think it needs to be seen.

Some pictures from today's jaunt.
Just seen a great typo in an email, and one which I think we should all aspire to:
Have a goof weekend.

A gentle and very grounding song to start us off for this week's Jukebox Friday Night.

Now that the last chicken has reached its new home, I can share this, which is all the chickens I've made. When I started my first chicken 3 months ago, I didn't realise I was going to make 6 in a very short time. Thank you all for humouring my obsession these past few months. I'm going to take a break now, but maybe I'll make another one if there's someone who really needs one.
Chook 3. This one's destined to be a fancy french hen.
The flock.
The starlings were throwing some good shapes this evening.
Ok, I'm putting this out there now so that people have time to prepare. Obviously there's a lot of people posting about their anniversary of joining Mastodon / the Fediverse at the moment, but there's a particularly special anniversary happening tomorrow.
It'll be one year tomorrow since the #Defaidodon hashtag was unleashed on the world (Diolch @jaz), and I think this needs to be marked with many pictures of sheep. You know what to do.
From the time that the local bus company had some fun while being the rail replacement service.
It's time for your daily dose of doggos.
In the absence of anything interesting or witty to share with with you all today, here's some dogs going through the weaving poles on an agility course.

@RolloTreadway The extreme gloominess when I opened the curtains at 8am this morning is what prompted this particular post, plus knowing that's we're all pretty deficient in Vitamin D. I started taking supplements once I started working from home, as I'm not walking to and from the office every day.
Dear fellow inhabitants of the islands of Britain and Ireland,
I have absolutely no scientific data to back this up, but given how dreary this summer has been, it might be worth thinking about taking Vitamin D supplements before autumn / winter hits. We tend to be low on Vitamin D at the best of times, and the lack of sunshine in many places this summer means that we're probably not in one of the better times.
Love,
Me, who is not a doctor nor do I play one on the internets x
@bps_artish I used to have to try and make text written by civil servants into something vaguely suitable for going on websites. Bloody hard work at times.
It's six months exactly since I first signed up properly to Mastodon (well, I had set up an account on one of the big instances earlier and then noped out almost immediately), and I have to say it's been the most fun I've had on the internet for a really long time. I've semi-drifted away from most other places, but I really like it here, and I hope it continues.
Thank you all for being your interesting, silly, thoughtful, entertaining, wonderful selves and making this place what it is.
I think this may be the best explanation of how Mastodon works that I've seen in my 5 months of being here.

Feeling the need to escape into some Danyél Waro this afternoon - lots of drums and interesting rhythms.
Take the music of two very different islands and stick 'em together and you get this amazing piece that never lasts long enough for me.
