Wow, I'm so pretty! I can't believe how pretty I am, estrogen is amazing. I can't see a guy at all anymore on my good days. And guess what? Today is 4 years since I started taking estrogen. My mom gets a cake for me every year for my anniversary. If you're just starting out and have yet to reach a year and it feels like it's been a while, you'll be this far in before you know it. And if you don't want hormones, that's ok, it's what freedom is.
My wife came across a screenshot of a young trans woman who, from the post, is saying her #Texas driver’s license was reverted back to male by our Dept of Motor Vehicles.
Back in late August, the Texas Atty General very quietly sent a directive to the DMV to reject all requests for gender marker change to a driver’s license even if accompanied by a judge’s order. AND staff is to scan all documents brought in and emailed to an address specifically regarding gender marker requests that goes to Ken Paxton’s office.
I looked her up and it’s a screenshot from her Twitter account. I’m not sure if the DMV is actually reversing gender marker changes. This could be from before she had it changed if she had it changed at all. But I think it brings up a valid point regarding trans women who are well into transition and look very much like a cos woman. Having an “M” on a state issued ID opens up the potential for a lot of trouble. It’s precisely why I decided not to pursue any surgeries until that directive is lifted or I move to another state.
1/2 Evan shares with us his first time experiencing gender euphoria, the counterpoint to the much more widely recognized gender dysphoria. What is it? How do you find it for yourself? Even has some encouraging words on the subject! #GenderEuphoria#Comic#Trans
“You can't use modern terms like “gay” or “trans” to ancient times”, We've heard that a lot. 🙄 But, here, here is a fantastic response to that. (tl;dr: no-one ever makes this claim when words like “marriage” or “gentlemen” are used).
#trans#lgbtqia I've come to see my thoughts on trans issues are even more oddly skewed than I knew. I often think about Heinlein's arguably ahead-of-the-curve efforts to consider trans issues ("All You Zombies," "Number of the Beast," "I Will Fear No Evil," "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress") but it's really Wilson's "Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy" that took the wildest swing at the topic:
I'm still loads short and my bank is starting to threaten me. I've managed to scrounge together some more so I need less but I'm still about 600 short to fix things. I'm trans, autistic, in debt, and always on the brink of homelessness it seems. Any help appreciated, and if I can do anything in return I'll be sure to see what I can do, I can do programming, hosting services, small jobs in the Netherlands, or whatever else you might need help with I might be able to do. Sharing welcome as well anywhere.
