Well, it's official: I will be using #FunkWhale for this audio project (WIP jinxian.casa). However, my company, Prometheus Information Systems Corp. (prometheus.systems) is probably going to move forward with maintaining a fork of FunkWhale with the "we're going to ban music and artists we dislike" trash from the developers/maintainers scooped out, thereby rendering FunkWhale again an agnostic software platform that respects user freedom and doesn't do weird and psychotic database queries to block you from enjoying whatever music or audio you want to utilize it for.

Bon… Vous avez quoi comme alternatives auto-hébergeables à #Funkwhale pour stream sa musique ? Les fonctionnalités que j'aimerais bien retrouver :
- application Android qui permet de stocker et de lire des médias hors ligne,
- flux dédié aux titre les moins joués pour re-découvrir ma propre musique (j'utilise très beaucoup la radio « les moins lus » sur Funkwhale).

@clacke @Caymon afaik #funkwhale federates libraries and albums and tracks between instances but it's not a social network - at least not yet.

I can not forget about #Funkwhale who officially is #Android only: https://www.funkwhale.audio/apps/

Yes, I am aware of official beta apps existing (#Pixelfed), as well as numerous third party apps, but as #Twitter (before #ElonMusk rebranded it as #X) discovered years ago, it is very difficult to become mainstream without an official app.

There might be other #Fediverse platforms with official apps, but these are the ones I am aware of that support #ActivityPub.
