     @WeirdWriter The writer is FULLY mincing their words on Burzum, regarding Varg "being labelled a Nazi" (dude released pamphlets about the inferiority of Jews, FFS), the cultural relevance thereof (multiple festivals across Europe ban the band's logo because it has status as a dogwhistle), and the fact that buying Burzum albums actively fund's Varg Vickernes/Louis Cachet's ongoing white surpemacist bullshit. Lyrical analysis is an entire other subject.

     This degree of apologia wouldn't fly in most metal magazines these days, and it certainly shouldn't fly in a mainstream publication.
