I facilitated a workshop for @freetechproject tonight and it's the first time we tackled technology to fight #Covid (Co2 monitors, air purifiers, #HEPA, #CorsiRosenthal boxes, #NukitTempest, etc) as well as why this is important (what Covid is, how it spreads, etc) and and the small (predominantly older) group was very open to the ideas, sincerely inquisitive about the topic, interested in reducing risk, aware of inclusion issues, and very sensitive to my own experiences as carer for a partner disabled by Covid. I'm also realising that sometimes people genuinely refer to "Covid" in the past tense sometimes because they wrongly associate it with government policy, while at the same time they very clearly understand that #CovidIsNotOver. My point is, keep tackling the topic, and keep giving folks the benefit of the doubt -- humans are of course good at heart and states, and of course the establishment media, may very well not reflect people's actual concerns about Covid.

I wish I could remember who it was but back at the end of the worst of the #Covid Pandemic days a CEO for some company that had offices in San Francisco announced they were not renewing their lease and allowing his employees to move out of the Bay Area saving the company something like $5 million dollars a year

Pre #covid I was a well paid electro mechanical assembler. Now I am a poorly paid remote worker taking donation calls.

The #PBS calls give me a unique perspective on the country; I talk to people all over the US and Canada every day. People are freaking the hell out terrified of losing PBS so donations are surging.

Cancellations are also surging as people flee the US to Canada and Europe.

I have had #insomnia for #months . I am now diagnosed #ptsd . I worked in the #emergencyroom as a #nurse . My careeer has lasted 20 years. The last 13 have been in the level one trauma center for the province of #newbrunswick #Canada in the front lines over such pandemics as #covid and many many other human tragedies. I am tired now . If anyone did the same thing and needs a sounding board for their #recovery . Don’t ever hesitate to reach out to a friend. Or myself. #hope

Always look at the hands of politicians etc. when they are speaking or speeching.
Many of them have learned the same weird hand-lingo. Like the one with a softly closed fist, with the thumb on it, gesturing this with both hands... i remember this one well from the press moments in the first few years of covid.
Those too well-rinsed, white hands not a bloodstain visible - the hands of Mark Rutte as if he had been soaking in a bath for hours.
