People defend #capitalism by saying “who takes the risk should reap the rewards” but really it’s who is ABLE to take the risk, and more risks you can afford, the more possibilities for rewards (and thus risks) you have.

Doesn’t sound so justified when you frame it the way it is.

Universal Basic Income (UBI) under capitalism will still entail the exploitation of capitalism through the extraction of surplus value by the capitalists/corporations from the workers' labor. UBI isn't enough. Capitalism needs to be abolished and replaced with socialism, the collective control, and ownership of the means of production.

We call a person who fights cancer in people an oncologist while branding people who fight cancer in society “radical left lunatics.” I think not. Capitalism is cancer. Mainstream corporate #Democrats would rather lose than shave off just the sharpest edges of our current version of #capitalism. Direct government help would be so much better than overly complicated "market solutions" (looking at you #ACA), but as the author writes:

#BernieSanders is a #CIA compatible leftist. His attempt at building a #thirdparty is a huge grift to sucker the #working class. It will go nowhere because #socialdemocracy is nothing but a band-aid. #Capitalism needs to be destroyed, not patched up to fix the holes.

It's been nearly a century since the beginning of the New Deal. Arguably it was first (and only) major intervention to contain the worst aspects of unrestrained capital. Ultimately it failed. If you could magically return to any time in the past 90 years, could you *realistically* hope to avert fascism?

The answer is the proletarian revolution. The liberals of the past have, through their past actions, proven that reforming capitalism is impossible (even though Marx and Marxists have already explained that it is impossible and why decades ago). Eliminate capitalism. Eliminate bourgeois hegemony. Build socialism and proletarian supremacy.

If you wonder why there's war against remote work let me lay it out. The FT already in 2021 laid out a doomsday scenario for office REITs (real estate investment trust).

Office REITs have leases expiring from big tenants this year and in order to prevent crisis in big cities they're forcing you back to your cubicle, overpriced housing and 10 USD lunch hour sandwiches.

You're just a cog in the machine unless you've got serious fuck you money laying around.
