It looks like Google is attempting a power grab and wants to prevent ALL installations of Android apps without official Google approval; even those installed outside Google Play.

This is an attack on both developer and user freedom and unacceptable.

Honestly? Disabling JavaScript on my mobile browser has been the best decision I've ever made if I don't want to visit shitty websites for a while. I stopped using apps except for a few such as audiobook apps and the like but even so, this will eliminate a large portion of the Internet, but honestly, the websites that do not work are websites you really don't want to visit on a regular basis anyhow. This #PlayIntegrity stuff is really questionable. My banking app won't run on a #GoogleFree #LineageOS running #Android 16 with all the latest security updates. But a #GooglePlay device running Android 10 that was last updated in 2021 is approved. This is not a real #security check. This looks like a #gatekeeper #monopoly check.

Esto me recuerda: si usáis un smartphone con #Android (o cualquier SO derivado de #AOSP)

1. Marcad en el dialer *#*#4636#*#* (algunos forks propietarios deshabilitan el menú que lanza esta marcación; si no os sale, pasad al paso 3)
2. En los ajustes que os saldrán, buscad Set preferred network type y seleccionad NR/LTE (5G y 4G respectivamente) o LTE only si no contáis con 5G.
3. Como extra, en Ajustes > Redes e Internet, si os sale el menú Seguridad de redes móviles, marcad la Protección de redes 2G.

Si usáis #GrapheneOS, la opción de seleccionar solo 4G y/o 5G las podéis encontrar también en Ajustes > Redes e Internet > SIMs > {$operadora} > Tipo de red preferido
De paso, activad #VoLTE y #VoWiFi si no lo tenéis aún.

La infra telefónica sigue siendo insegura y se debe considerar no confiable: esto es solo reducción de daños al deshabilitar #2G y evitar sus múltiples inseguridades salvo cuando llaméis a Emergencias, que bajará a 2G independientemente de toda esta configuración.
