@maija @BasedLunatic @Forestofenchantment @Forestofenchantment @mischievoustomato I like the way Trump has handled the Russian issue, in both of his terms (trying to have normal relationships of neutrality between both countries, as this is good for his own country, giving constantly escalating the conflict with Russia will inevitably lead, sooner or later, to mutual annihilation), and the idea of the USA just jumping out of the tug-of-war forcing Europe to rearm and start worrying about being militarily self-sufficient instead of US satellites.

But the 4 year interim worsened everything so much, it was pretty safe to do so in 2018, now it's a disaster and any fix will likely involve a LOT of blood.
