DJ Sundog - from the toot-laband every day I work, there is always at least one person who comes to the counter just to tell me how awesome it is that we have a radical little bookstore going in Ellijay, and they always deliver it such hushed, amazed tones, as if saying it too loud will clue in the rest of the patrons to the fact that we're chock full of socialist and communist literature amongst the best sellers and the manga and the nature books.
it's really super cute and heartwarming. it's nice to have folk notice the intent with which books are selected and the joy we take in offering them to the local community.
highly recommend letting your friend give you a job working the counter at a radical bookstore if you get the opportunity. it's really a joy for me. I'm a lucky dog.
