Fox in the Shell 💜🐾🦊The one thing I keep coming backto is how us blind folks are mostly pinned into the Masto side of things, as there's really no Pluroma clients that are accessible to us, and the sites are generally shit. Bubble timeline much?
All the others are the same way. Very inaccessible, and the APIs, as I understand it, operate differently, so the two or three clients we do have that are made within our communities don't bridge the gap. That's not even going into the other fediverse platforms, most of which are really not friendly to our tech uses.
Also, there's the snag that some of us do have some useable vision, like myself for example, and all our clients made in the blind community feature absolutely no image support, which in the case of people like me, means that we're extra reliant on alt text images.
This is why I like ELK. The accessibility is passible though not the best, and I do get image and video support without having to leave the app.
