Lefty ideas are popular on account of how they're aimed at improving living conditions for, you know, the populace. The natural result of this situation is that people who are not leftists are constantly lying about their unpopular ideas, trying to give them a popular, left-ish disguise.
It doesn't help that the unpopular liars have literally infinite amounts of money to spend on propaganda, of course. But still. At least try to think about this, kids.
