i got tired of having to explain game theory to modern leftists.

the existence of finding out is what makes people choose not to fuck around. this sometimes fails and has to be reasserted (taleb calls this antifragility) but it kind of works.

the opposite of antifragile systems are ones that look like they work but rot on the inside until total systemic collapse ensues.
