    @paula @tiskaan @Meemoo @poopernova Southern Italian then, considering where you ended up. I'm just genuinely really surprised to see someone refer to (North, as typically served abroad) Indian food as spicy when it doesn't even make top 10 for most utilization of spice imo. If you really want to climb the dizzying heights of the Scoville scale you have to end up resorting to some of the regional cuisines in China, Korea, and Southeast Asia and even then only resort to specific dishes within them. Otherwise pretty much everywhere is mid when they use spices and that's because people (by and large) use spices to *add* flavor and not as some kind of self imposed exercise in masochism or w/e.
