@teratology @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @leyonhjelm @caekislove @NEETzsche I was curious so I pulled up their demographic map. at least as of 2020 they don't consider "hispanic" or "latino" to be a race (seems to match your viewpoint) so it doesn't show up with that data, but they do publish ethnicity data which contains only that as the groups "hispanic or latino" and "not hispanic or latino"

personally I question the usefulness of distinguishing "hispanic or latino" from "black or african american" and the other racial categories. I don't see what practical purpose it serves
