@h5e There is a role in officiating roller derby called the "jam timer". Among other things, they give a verbal warning before play begins... "FIVE SECONDS!" The job is almost always given to someone with the biggest, most thundering voice possible. I'm one of two trans people in my league who've held the role; we both drop our practiced voice to thunder it out.
