replaceable workers absolutely need unions or they will be trampled upon because the employer can go "i'll just replace you lmao" because the training period and HR overhead is far lower for these workers - forcing the worker, who is likely far more vulnerable due to their status, to accept abusive compromises or be thrown out the door, unable to feed themselves / their family
when every corporation hiring "unskilled" workers does this, the illusion of choice becomes quite apparent
