The jet didn't turn, from the video the drone did... Then it had to swerve in order to try to avoid it. It does seem to me like what hit the drone was the exhaust, otherwise the plane would've likely have crashed or blown up.

Of course they're moving as silently as possible, but really... A US military spy drone in the area? It sure wasn't happily broadcasting "hi fellows, please don't come into my path"...
