From where I sit, I see few people who believe that "open source" means "no copyleft." The exception, of course, is RMS and other 'free software" fanatics. Over the years, their "my way or the highway stance" has hurt FLOSS adoption. The reasons most people tend to avoid copyleft licenses are a "perception" that the license will somehow hurt their business, e.g. Google and AGPL or that it's somehow "messy."
