Since Feb 2025 its driver joined the kernel https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/hid/bpf/progs/XPPen__ArtistPro16Gen2.bpf.c , so, it's plug and play under GNOME wayland and Plasma Wayland.
Might be tricky on other DE but possible depending the tools they have to interact with libinput.
