@thomasfuchs the AC install was oversized though. he's got 3 splits right now and the installer said he could cool 3 more room without an issue. normally you wouldn't want to oversize that much because of the efficiency curves, but there were supply issues that limited the options, and even running in the lower efficiency band it's still very good. an upside is the exchanger fan runs at just a few percent duty so it's silent outside.
