@Infoseepage Land ownership didn't exist in the Americas before the colonizers arrived. Its introduction was used to push out natives from land they used to rely on for various means, whether that is agriculture, hunting, gathering, or other social functions.
Regardless of the perceived utility of the land by you or your white ancestors—it was theirs and it was imposed upon and stolen in a systemically genocidal and colonialist way. It was wrong for Europeans to settle in the Americas, or anywhere else.
I don't say this out of comfort or ease being in Europe, my ancestors include colonized people but also white settler colonists. And I have dealt with that fact—I have chosen to admonish the settlers and their acts of land theft. It doesn't matter what they did while they were there—they were wrong to go and part of an exploitative and racist system.
