40 years ago, the mexicans in power didnt look brown at all. the educated ones where all from euro heritage fams that had power and old money. extremely wealthy. one kid that stayed with us was the son of a breadmaker. im like 12. thinking of like a bakery owner.
go to visit them and its a massive bread factory. fleets of trucks. had a fuggin pet lion. eating dinner and ask how he got so wealthy just making bread. guy says, "everybody eats bread... rich or poor, i sell it to them."
thats the kind of wealth those kids came from.
