This pairs really well with the passenger side door outside handle, which completely disintegrated from sun exposure after five or six years facing South 24-7. Now that, I had repaired with some other adhesive (maybe Gorilla Glue?) then wrapped in black electrical tape, then sprayed with a random can of black lacquer paint I happened to have.

That has actually held up pretty well, maybe three years. Starting to get loose and disintegrate again, though.
