@_L1vY_ Before doing that figure out what the plastic is. There are lots of different plastics and most won't weld to each other but weld excellent to themselves. Zip ties are usually nylon.

I have seen people put zip ties through a hot glue gun to create a melted plastic adhesive.
Considering trying that. 🤔

This pairs really well with the passenger side door outside handle, which completely disintegrated from sun exposure after five or six years facing South 24-7. Now that, I had repaired with some other adhesive (maybe Gorilla Glue?) then wrapped in black electrical tape, then sprayed with a random can of black lacquer paint I happened to have.
That has actually held up pretty well, maybe three years. Starting to get loose and disintegrate again, though.

The window and lock control panel on my driver's side door started to fall apart. I was able to pry off the cover and put the "remote" with all the controls back together despite several broken and missing screw channels -- using a hot glue gun. It was perfect! All winter.
Until the first really hot day, when I learned the car gets hot enough in the sun to melt hot glue. 😂😩
